A real twister of a story! Aubrey is still grieving her husband, Josh, who disappeared five years ago. They had been best friends since elementary school, in spite of the fact that Daisy, her mother-in-law, had always hated her. Daisy has petitioned the courts to have her son declared dead so she can launch a case to claim his life insurance money. On the fifth anniversary of his disappearance Aubrey receives the notice of the court ruling him dead. Later that day she meets Chase, who unexplainably reminds her of Josh. The story of what really happened unfolds through flashbacks and conversations. And be prepared for lots of twists and turns.

This story reels you in right away and keeps you hooked till the last page. I instantly felt for Aubrey and the sadness of her situation. J. T. Ellison has crafted a thoroughly engaging mystery in this story. I loved it.

Alinefromabook’s recommendation: THUMBS-UP for a great mystery that keeps you guessing. This book is appropriate for older teens and adults. It does touch lightly on issues of child abuse and has some mild sexual content.

Expected publication date: March 22, 2016
